This multi-talented individual brings many levels of expertise to every project. Shane plays guitar, bass and keyboards. He writes, arranges and reads music. Extensive experience programming synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and MIDI gear combined with his sensitive ear, natural musicality and engineering skills enable him to pull all the right elements together in the studio. A formal music education culminated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami (FL). Classmates included Bruce Hornsby, Pat Metheny, Steve Morse & the Dixie Dregs, Hiram Bullock, Mark Egan and both the late Jaco Pastorious and Ms. Phyllis Hyman. After a couple of years touring, Shane set up shop in Wilmington, DE, recruited a band and began writing and recording original material. Together seven years, "BAD SNEAKERS" spent 200+ nights per year performing live, produced, recorded and released three albums of their rock/pop music and shot a nationally distributed video.

When the group disbanded in 1986, Shane was offered a job in New York City at CALLIOPE STUDIOS, and was thrown into the world of hiphop, sampling and MIDI sequencing. The harmonic anarchy and fresh, irreverent approach of these hiphop kids immediately attracted him. Demand for his engineering expertise quickly grew and his broad musical background, it wasn't long before his talent as a producer was also recognized. In the process he acquired a nickname, ‘the doctor'. This unique combination of experience on both sides of the console is precisely what makes him so valuable in the studio.

He has numerous GOLD and PLATINUM awards as a PRODUCER, MIXER and ENGINEER and his work has been GRAMMY nominated several times. From 1991 to 1995, as a writer for WARNER-CHAPPELL MUSIC, he wrote tracks for many artists. In 1993, he co-produced and mixed the GOLD and GRAMMY winning debut LP by DIGABLE PLANETS. 1995 began with his production and mixing of the debut LP by the JUNO award winning Canadian group, BASS IS BASE. In the last three years he has traveled quite a bit, working on diverse projects in Toronto, London and Paris! Now back in New York, he has opened an office for JEEPJAZZ MUSIC, and his own studio, SOUND DOCTOR.

In 1998, Shane signed a new Co-publishing deal with legendary music publisher Freddy Bienstock of CARLIN AMERICA. Shane has also done additional production and remixing for (former Tears For Fears) Curt Smith's band Mayfield's forthcoming single. Most recently, Shane has produced NY based artist's Miranda Hentoff, Lezlee Peterzell, Merdith Patterson and Jeff Krassner's second album. Three of Shane's Acid Jazz tracks can be found in the film "HIGH ART", which won best screenplay at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. Most recent film credits include "TRICK", "SPENT" and "ADVICE FROM A CATERPILLAR", 1999 Sundance Film Festival nominee for Dramatic Competition. Shane also Music Supervised the Columbia Tri-Star/ABC TV Film "DOUBLE PLATINUM" starring Brandy and Diana Ross.

Shane is currently working on new JeepJazz music for 2004.
