Born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, Darran Falcone has been playing and writing roots rock-n-roll music since his grandfater, a midwest county musician, put his first guitar into his hands at the age of eleven.
Citing such influences as Jimmie Rogers and Marty Robbins to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and U2, Falcone's music has evolved into a true roots influenced style with a driving rock band behind him.
Two years ago, his first CD Thunderbox was released on Swing-O-Matic Records and put out by Miles of Aisles, their number one selling CD overseas at one time. Currently he has just completed a new CD Ghost Train produced by legendary songwriter, musician and producer Barry Goldberg.
Various songs of his have been used for television and soundtracks, most recently his song "Over The Line" was the end title theme of the Sony Pictures Television / Showtime hit series Street Time. He was also nominated in 2002 for Best New Artist at the L.A. Music Awards.
Darran can be found playing locally around L.A.
